Clinical Analysis of Scleral Lenses on Regular Corneas

Valley Contax was proud to have their flagship product, the Custom Stable scleral lens, used as part of a clinical study performed by Ferris State University Michigan College of Optometry's Vision Research Institute. The study focused on the use of scleral contact lenses on normal corneas. The study found that 77% of participants in the study found success in vision, fit and comfort while wearing the Custom Stable.

The study also found that after one month a majority of the participants responded that they were either satisfied or very satisified with the scleral lens they had worn. While scleral lenses, such as the Custom Stable, have traditionally been reserved for use with irregular corneas this study shows that there's also room for scleral lens use on normal corneas.
